NAME

unset - unset variables or functions.

SYNOPSIS

unset [-fv] name ...

DESCRIPTION

unset is a POSIX special builtin provided by Rush. Unset variables or functions.

In Rush mode, unset -f name also suppresses autoloading of name for the current shell. Defining name() again clears that suppression.

In the default Bash-compatible mode, variable operands may select indexed-array elements, for example unset 'values[2]'. Unsetting the last element leaves an empty array declaration.
