UNALIAS(1)

NAME

unalias - remove command aliases.

SYNOPSIS

unalias -a | name ...
unalias -d [-a | name ...]

DESCRIPTION

unalias is a POSIX regular builtin provided by Rush. Remove command aliases.

In the default Rush mode, -d removes named directories instead of command aliases. Named directories are shared by alias -d and hash -d. With -d -a, all named directories are removed.

Named-directory options are a non-POSIX extension and are disabled in POSIX mode.

This page summarizes the builtin in Rush documentation. POSIX is the normative reference for detailed portable behavior.

EXIT STATUS

See the POSIX definition for command-specific status rules. Usage errors generally return a non-zero status.
